My story isn't dramatic. It's simply about finding my way back to myself. Something I didn't even realized I needed.
Since I was young, I built a version of me that never disappointed anyone. Always 'good enough' and 'always understanding' - something that came naturally because I always wanted the best for others around me. I became someone who put others first, because I cared and feared letting anyone down. But I didn't have a good balance between my love for others and for myself. I put myself on the backburner first.
I didn't go searching for Breathwork--it found me. I actually hated my first session, ironically. My body shook uncontrollably, and my facilitator couldn't tell me why. It took about a week for my body to process all the stored emotion. Come to find out, it was my body's way of releasing what I no longer needed to store anymore. Breathwork opened my eyes to how much I was bending-and I was tired. I continued taking more classes and started learning that no matter how much I did in attempt to gain love and compassion from others, it didn't mean it works or that it actually makes them happy. Everyone has their own path and no matter how hard I try, I cannot do the inner work for someone else. I can only do the work for myself- as nobody can do it for me. It really taught me to let people face their own lessons while I focused on my own.
I got to stand face to face with my own fears, destructive patterns, how I treat myself, and my entire belief systems about myself, others and life. I saw how negative my mental chatter was and started to let go of what wasn't really true about myself. I finally understood that it was just a protective mechanism to never get hurt, which isn't bad-but it didn't have to be that way forever.
Now, as a Certified Breathwork Facilitator, my mission is to help others see that they are the power of their own change. Helping them break through their own destructive patterns and step into the highest version of themselves. Because I know what it is like to feel stuck and disconnected from my highest potential.
I want YOU to see YOU again, the real, amazing, confident you--because all you did was get a little lost. It's time to stop doubting yourself and step into loving yourself fully. One breath at a time.
Life is meant to be enjoyed and not held back by negative thoughts. You are not your thoughts. Pain is not something to avoid-it's a signal from your body, showing you a limitation you are holding about yourself. Just breathe.
Breathwork is actively using your breath to make you aware of your subconscious mind to then work through unprocessed emotion stored in the body. It is not often realized that unprocessed emotions are stored in the nervous system, subtly influencing your thoughts, behaviors and the patterns you may find yourself stuck in.
To move forward, it is best to stop the familiar thoughts and feelings right away and create NEW.
The subconscious mind lives in the body, it basically keeps a record of all emotion received by the brain. When an emotional response is triggered, you will automatically activate your fight-or-flight mode, leading to the body reacting physically in order to protect itself. When these emotions are not fully processed or let go of, they get stored in the body, often showing up as anxiety, tension, stress, panic attacks, or physical pain.
Focused breathing allows you to access what you store, understanding yourself more, and move through any pain or challenges holding you back. You can then begin to replace your old patterns with new perspectives and habits. This is resetting your nervous system, which gives you room for clarity, peace and real change for your future.
The best part is that YOU get to change YOU. You do not need anyone or anything else to figure out all your problems, you already hold everything you need from within. It is time you step into the truth of who you are and start showing up as the best version of yourself.
Take a deep breath and remember, your life is only but a mirror reflecting how you feel and what you believe to be true. You are the one to provide yourself with a new view.
